Delete your account

You can delete your FutbolCore account at any time. This page explains both ways to do it, what gets removed, and what we have to keep on record by law. You don't need to be signed in to start the process.
Delete from inside the app
The fastest way. From the FutbolCore mobile app or web app, take these steps:
- Sign in to your account.
- Open the side menu and tap Settings.
- Tap Account, then Delete Account.
- Confirm by re-entering your password.
- Tap Permanently delete.
The button removes your account immediately. You'll be signed out and your login will stop working right away.
Request deletion by email
If you can't sign in (forgotten password, lost device, etc.), email us and we'll handle the deletion manually. Include the email address on the account so we can verify it's yours.
We'll confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, sooner where required by law (GDPR / CCPA).
What gets deleted
When you delete your account we permanently remove the following:
- Your profile (name, email, phone number, photo, login credentials)
- Direct messages and chat threads you sent
- Notification history tied to your account
- Saved payment methods (the underlying card data lives only at Stripe and is unlinked from your account; you may also contact Stripe directly)
- Push tokens and device identifiers
- Player profiles you created as a parent (unless another parent on the family is keeping the child active)
What we have to keep
A few items survive deletion because we're required to retain them by law, for fraud prevention, or because they belong to the club rather than to you:
- Financial records (invoices, payments, refunds) — retained for 7 years to satisfy tax and accounting law.
- Club-owned content you produced as a coach or admin (event schedules, team announcements, coaching notes) — stays with the club so it can keep operating after you leave.
- Anonymized audit logs — your identity is removed but the action record (e.g. "user deleted at HH:MM") is kept for security review.
Where the law allows, you can request these be redacted further by emailing hello@futbolcore.io.
Timeline
- Immediately: Your account is deactivated. You're signed out and your login stops working.
- Within 24 hours: Your profile, messages, and active session data are purged from our production database.
- Within 30 days: Your data is removed from rolling backups and from our third-party processors (Twilio for SMS, Cloudinary for media, push providers for device tokens).
- Indefinitely: The retained items listed above (financial records, club-owned content, anonymized audit logs).
Deleting a child's profile
Player profiles for minors are managed by their parent or guardian and by the club administrator. To remove a child's profile, sign in as the registered parent and follow the same in-app steps from your parent account, or email hello@futbolcore.io from the email address on file.
